TO Gracanica signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with touristic agencies from Belgrade and Novi Sad

In the partnership with a Swiss organization Swisscontact, Tourism Organization of Gracanica (TOG) has organized, from 13th until 15th of May 2016, a three-day study visit of Kosovo within the project FAM trip. Within this visit, touristic agencies from Belgrade and Novi Sad have the opportunity to visit medieval Serbian monasteries and touristic attractions Kosovo wide. A lot of meetings have been organized with local tourism organizations, caterers and local self governments. The aim of the visit is to introduce the touristic offer, the promotion of touristic destination and touristic products, as well as establishment of the cooperation with local tourism organizations and caterers. It was agreed that all tourist agencies that participated in this project, include destinations of study visits in their tourist offer, which will have a direct impact on increasing the number of tourists and tourism development.
At the end of the visit, on Sunday 15th of May at 11:00 hours within the facilities of municipality of Gracanica an meeting has been organized with the representatives of Gracanica municipality and TO Gracanica. At the meeting it has been discussed with regards to numerous challenges and possible solutions facing tour operators who organize visits to Kosovo. Some of the topics were: cooperation with TO Gracanica, tourist’s security, Visa regime, networking of tourism organizations in Kosovo, media promotions of touristic destinations, development of touristic products and branding, air transport to Pristina airport, a low level of development of touristic infrastructure, project ideas for tourism development in Gracanica and tourist tax issue. Inter alia, the promotion of International Festival of medieval arts and crafts - SHIELD has been made, which will be held in Gracanica from 16th until 18th of September 2016. At the end of the meeting, with the satisfaction of both parties, the Memorandum of Cooperation between TOG and touristic agencies from Belgrade and Novi Sad has been signed.
